Martin J Schreiber, Wisconsin’s 39th Govenor, Shares Insights as a Caregiver for His Wife
Former Wisconsin Governor, Martin “Marty” Schreiber, will be the featured speaker at the Aging and Disability Resource Center’s 2016 Open House. Governor Schreiber offers a heartfelt and captivating discussion of his personal journey as a caregiver to his wife, Former First Lady, Elaine Schreiber who is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. Former Governor Schreiber talks of coping with the challenges experienced while supporting Elaine through this journey with compassion, conviction, and even humor. He is a dynamic speaker who shares the unique aspects of caregiving from a male’s perspective. While acknowledging the struggles, he inspires others caring for a loved one to find patience, hope and continued love. former Governor Schreiber will be sharing details about his new book, “My Two Elaines: Learning, Coping, and Surviving as an Alzheimer’s Caregiver.” Copies will be available for purchase. The presentation starts at 2pm. It is free and open to the public.
